[Profile] Wataru Tsuji (1953-) joined the Meikoh Guitar workshop, the predecessor of the current Asturias Guitars in 1977, and has contributed to the development of the classical division for more than 40 years since the re-launch of the brand as Asturias in 1981. As head of production for the division, he has developed a high quality lineup based on a clear concept to suit the tastes of the times, and has also introduced such well-received models as the Grand Suprema, an exclusive hand-crafted model completely original to Asturias. Currently, the Asturias lineup includes the "Tsuji" series cataloged under his complete supervision, and in addition to the S model, which stands out for the meticulous work of the craftsmen at the workshop, the renowned flagship "Suprema" model is also continuously shipped. [Description] The popular S-3/S from the Astorias Guitar "Tsuji" series is now in stock. The sound board is spruce with a shellac finish, and the back and sides are Indian rosewood with a polyurethane finish. The overall workmanship is impeccable and is backed by the high skills of this workshop. The bright sound of the shellac finish is blended with a gentle Japanese style, making this a very comfortable instrument. It is very easy to play, making it a good second guitar for beginners as well as advanced players. There is no repair history. In terms of appearance, there are only a few minor scratches on the treble side of the soundhole, the bass side of the fingerboard, and near the bottom of the back.
