[Profile] Sakazo Nakade was born in Matsuzaka, Mie in 1906. He learned guitar making at Kinpachi Miyamoto's workshop. In 1929, when Andres Segovia visited Japan for the first time, he had an opportunity to measure the guitar Segovia was using, and started making guitars in earnest. He continued making guitars even though he moved from place to place due to World War II, and at his peak, he became a supporter of the guitar making industry in Japan. It is still a popular item on the second-hand market, and in recent years there has been an increase in demand overseas as well. [Description] Sakazo Nakade made in 1959 is now in stock, and has an attractive vintage appearance before the development of the massive and luxurious model lineup in the 1960s and later. The paint has acquired a candy-colored luster with age, and the simple rosette with wood grain is a good accent. The sound is also antique, with a natural resonance and simplicity, although the resonance of each string is uneven and not highly refined. In later years, some of the higher-end models of this brand were found to be a bit too rigid, but this piece has a more natural and pleasant sound. There are many scratches and dents throughout, and both sides of the fingerboard have been repaired with patches from the inside. The center joint has been glued and repaired. There is evidence that the end pin was attached to the end block, and the hole has been repaired by filling in the hole.
